YouTube and Instagram have had a huge influence on what people expect from voiceovers – creators voicing their own content has given rise to an intimate ‘authentic’ style of VO that’s so laid back it’s almost – dare we say it? – boring!
So how do VO artists move with the times and deliver ‘real’ reads – but with the polish and colour that your pro voice can offer?
This workshop will give you a thorough understanding of the style and its vocal hallmarks, which we’ll then experiment with and work into your own approach. We’ll look at where and how you can give ‘authentic’ reads that producers and clients want, with the consistency that only comes from a professional.
Anthony Shuster is a highly respected and sought-after coach with extensive experience of working with actors, non-actors and professional performers. He’s an associate vocal coach with UK-based VO trainers Richcraft.
He read English at the University of Oxford, where he specialised in Linguistics, and went on to train in voice and diction at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (*RADA)
As an actor he has worked extensively in theatre, TV and radio, with companies including the National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the BBC, Channel 4 and Pathé Films. He has a wealth of practical applicable experience in how to use voice to really affect and motivate people.
