The world of voiceover demos is changing. As discussed by J Michael Collins in a recent email, online casting sites are now rewarding more specific voice samples by prioritizing them in their logarithm. A short (6-10s) voice sample labeled “tough authoritative truck ad” is going to receive more attention on the online casting sites than a generic “commercial demo”, regardless of the tags you’ve associated with the demo. Traditional demos aren’t dead, however. They still are the preferred format for agents and casting directors. We’ll discuss in depth in this webinar.
